During my high school days, I made a point to eat ice cream
as often as possible. A two scoop minimum- no fat free, low fat, fro yo- just
the full fat, calorie- laden, scrumptious, velvety kind of ice cream. I had
never thought of myself as having a weight problem. I felt secure in my own
right. I felt beautiful and did not need anyone to verify that.
But then I could hear stories allover of how people taking
high levels of calories have weird body shapes, and I know you too are thinking
the same. I wished that ice cream would be considered the sustenance of life
and not a guilty pleasure.
Well, ice cream is merely an analogy of living life to the
fullest, for indulging yourself simply because you are fabulous, just as you
are. This means eating that piece of cake because you want to, and not feeling
the guilt of calories and fat grams or the pressure of the society and remain
at less- than –healthy -weight because “thin-is-in.
It means feeling secure in your own skin. Embracing your
luscious curves, and seeing yourself as the pretty lady that you are, no matter
what size of jeans you wear. What could be more delicious that that?
Self-confidence is key. Seize the moment. Remember all those people on the
titanic who waved off the dessert cart.
This is really nice and educative.. Reaching to the young ladies out there to accept themselves the way they are hurray to you keep up
