TRAUMATIZING MOMENTS IN MEN’S HANDS.
You can say this is a feminist taking, but no, it is not, these are facts, things that happen yet we all turn a blind eye to.
I often listen to girls saying of how they experience their worst in the opposite genders’ hands, now I get it, and that is the reason why I am letting my mind flow free while writing this; to all girls out there who are in the age bracket of 18-23 and people want to take advantage of your naivety.
Well, I got to think why, men can’t normalize having female friends without relating them to something sexual. I mean, why should a girl visit his male friend and then end up being forced to do something she does not want? Screw you all for keeping in mind that when a girl says “NO”, she means “YES”. What the hell is wrong with people? Now because of your pathetic thinking, girls end up getting harassed.
I know many girls out there have their own share of traumatic experiences in men’s hands. I mean, why can’t you act like our brothers? Why can’t we come to you as our friends without you expecting more? Why can’t you be caring enough? Some of you have sisters and daughters out there, so, why can’t you take us as one of them?
Ladies are hurting out here, I get it why most of us hate adult life. Always told to be careful, be alert, be on guard, watch who you are friends with and be responsible… Enough! Why can’t the opposite gender do the same?
We can talk about rape cases all day and end up giving lame excuses on why ladies are raped, come on, name them; improper dressing will be the loudest said. And I say, screw you all for that. Why can’t a girl dress up and feel secure in her own skin? Why is our society busy teaching girls on how they should be dressed but not education boys on respecting girls?
Let’s be realistic, many girls are raped and defiled yet they are clad in really long dresses. Many are raped yet they do nothing to gain the male’s attention. We all need to speak up and take a step against this behavior if at all we want to obtain its end.
Men, stop being touchy!
Stop using force when a girl isn’t
interested!
Stop being violent!
Stop relating all your female friends to sex pets!
Just stop doing all that!
Well, fellow young ladies, those of you in the young stages of adult life, do not allow any man to take advantage of your naivety. Mean NO when you say NO. And if you’ve been in any uncomfortable situation in a man’s hands, get help. Find someone you trust and talk to, write about it, get it out of your mind. Learn to live with it. Do not let it drag you behind, and above all else, avoid men who can’t respect you. Avoid men who only see you as sex objects. YOU ARE WAY BETTER OF WITHOUT THEM!
BY SUE KWEGAH.
I will never and I WILL CONTINUE SAYING NO AND MEANING NO THANKS ALOT FOR YOUR INFORMATION
ReplyDeletethat is great.
DeleteBut some girls present themselves as sexual instruments 🌝. Sometimes it's not the 'man' to be blamed! The likes of shakila, exposing their nudity and stuff! Sasa dem ka shakila akikuwa raped, the 'man' will be held responsible again! I wouldn't live in that society. So, screw the men who rape innocent women..same as the women who 'intimidate' men!
ReplyDeleteI get what you are saying, and girls who do not have dignity are to blame for whatever comes their way after 'intimidating' men as you put it, but what of the small girls,, teenagers whose naivety is taken advantage of?...
Deletewe should all join forces if at all we want to end this scourge.
Death sentence to those who take advantage of the innocent women and minors will be number one on my list, that's if I made the laws!Truth is, I wish I made the laws
DeleteLovely piece!
ReplyDeleteGirls should be left to enjoy their freedom and ability to accept or reject any offer that may be made to them by the opposite gender.
We should not live in a world where we do not feel safe next to our brothers, uncles, dads, and other males.
very true, i also wish that a time will come where our parents will be comfortable with us hanging out with friends without worrying that somebody might take advantage of us.
DeleteLovely piece!
ReplyDeleteTo end rape culture perpetrators must be held accountable,by prosecuting sexual violence cases we recognize this acts as crimes and send a strong message of zero tolerance
Rape culture is held up by the absence of enforcement of laws addressing violence against women
Halafu this rape-affirming beliefs"she was dressed like a slut, she was asking for it🤦aaaghh!! Whatever a woman is wearing is not an invitation to rape her
You got my point exactly.. We need to stop justifying rape withbrape-affirming beliefs. It sucks🙍
